Logocos Naturkosmetik is a German company that has been a pioneer in natural cosmetics since 1978. With brands such as Logona, Sante and Heliotrop, it offers vegan and certified organic products made with plant-based ingredients from organic farming. Its sustainable approach and commitment to innovation position it as a leader in the conscious beauty sector in Europe.
In this project, we not only handled the unscrambling of multiformat bottles but also added additional functions of orientation and puck introduction.
The orientation function presented an interesting challenge: the key element for orientation was not a geometric asymmetry on the bottle but the screw position on the neck. To address this, a vision system was implemented to detect the bottle’s orientation.
Moreover, since it was a puck line, it was necessary to orient the bottle once it was already inside the puck. Therefore, the puck is turned with the bottle on it.
Our technology is flexible enough to maintain the simplicity of the unscrambling process while adding additional modules for orientation and puck introduction and handling.
Finally, it is important to highlight that, being in the beauty industry, a critical point was to take great care of the bottles and prevent any contamination during the process. This was achieved thanks to our soft technology, which minimizes any defects on the bottles. And, our zero compressed air system, which minimizes any possible particles that could contaminate the bottles.
